Customer Data & Email List Protection

When a client provides an existing customer or contact list for a campaign, the list remains the client’s business data. We use it only to deliver the requested campaign and related operational, security or support tasks.

What we do not do

Access and storage

Audience-list files uploaded through the client portal are available only through authenticated, authorized application routes. Portal traffic uses HTTPS. Access is limited to people who need the data to deliver or support the project.

Sending from your company identity

When a campaign is sent using the client’s company identity, setup is performed through domain or sender verification and authorized sending configuration. The client does not need to give us its mailbox password. Sending authorization can be removed by the client by changing or removing the relevant provider or DNS authorization.

Retention and deletion

Audience-list files are kept only while reasonably needed to deliver and support the requested campaign, or where retention is needed for security, legal or dispute-resolution purposes. Clients can ask us to remove an audience-list file, and supported campaign-list uploads can be removed from the client portal. Removing an audience-list file does not remove separate order, payment or security records that must be retained for their own purpose.

List eligibility

For existing-customer campaigns, the client must confirm that recipients are registered, opted in or otherwise eligible for the requested marketing communication. Prospecting and cold-outreach workflows are handled separately from Amazon SES and are subject to the relevant provider rules and applicable law.

Questions

Questions about customer-list handling can be sent through our contact form or the client portal.
